For treating typhoid fever, the most likely course of action is to take antibiotics. There are a couple options for this: ceftriaxone, which is used for people who are pregnant, or ciprofloxacin, which is used for pretty much everybody else. People used to use chloramphenicol, but because it can lead to relapses and has bad side affects they don't generally use it anymore. There are also some other drugs like azithromycin or fluoroquinolone (but fluoroquinolone resistant bacteria can occur a lot).
If you are ill with typhoid fever, it is also a good idea to drink fluids and eat healthily (though that can apply to many things).
